The Matchbox 20 rocker, who was among the 80 stars who recorded the Michael Jackson hit to raise money for the victims of the Haiti earthquake earlier this week, said that they all left "their egos at the door".

Celine Dion, who also took part, said: "We have a special responsibility to help needy people and this is part of our world and we're all gathering here together to support people in need and do whatever we can."
LL Cool J added: "I think it's a wonderful cause and I'm very excited - I'm honoured... to be a part of history and I hope it all goes well."
Also taking part in the recording were Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, Jennifer Hudson, Akon, Jason Mraz and Wyclef Jean.
