The 17-year-old appears on a track by Evelyn Evelyn, the latest project by Palmer and her Dresden Dolls bandmate Jason Webley.
Cobain reportedly sings on a track called 'My Space', described as "an anthemic 80s power ballad" with additional vocals by Weird Al Yankovic, Tegan and Sara, My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way and Palmer's fiancé Neil Gaiman.
Evelyn Evelyn's album is released on March 30 and will be followed by concerts in the UK, Europe and North America.
Courtney Love, Frances Bean's mother, reportedly lost custody of the 17-year-old in December.
