The new prize will be given after a talent competition also backed by Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan.
According to Metro, the 84-year-old former Beatles producer will be involved in the scheme promoted by NUMU, a free platform to motivate students through music.
Martin said: "I wish we had thought of doing this year's ago! I am delighted to lend my support to the award.
"When I look at the success we have had with the Brit School, I hope that this new award can bring that dream closer for many more of our talented youngsters."
Students have until September to submit their best track to the contest, using advice from the NUMU website.
These tracks will be reviewed by industry professionals and top artists, with the best and most-listened too songs forwarded to a panel of Brit judges who choose a shortlist.
The public will vote for their winner from the list, with the top act picking up the 'Class Act' prize from a star at the 2011 ceremony.
