The record, which was originally scheduled for release in November, is now expected in stores on March 30.
According to reports, the R&B singer's record label Jive has refused to release the album until Usher signs with a new management firm.
The 31-year-old was managed by his mother Jonetta Patton until last November, when it was claimed that Patton quit because of a conflict of interests with his current girlfriend Grace Miguel, who is a former Def Jam music executive.
"She walked away from the project because Usher had his girlfriend Grace Miguel all in the mix," a source told the New York Daily News.
"She felt as though if she didn't end things when she did, it would permanently affect their personal relationship."
Usher has since reportedly managed himself with the help of Miguel, however Jive are said to fear that there is "chaos in the camp".
The star is allegedly now holding talks with AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips, whose past clients include Michael Jackson, Lionel Ritchie and Toni Braxton.
