The sentencing of 48-year-old Daniel Sullivan, who pushed Gallagher off stage during a concert, had been delayed after the musician was given permission to read a witness statement.
However, according to the Toronto Star, the former Oasis guitarist agreed with prosecutor Ruth Kleinhenz-Neilson not to make the trip because of scheduling problems and concerns of a media circus.
The hearing for Sullivan has now been rescheduled to March 23.
Gallagher plays his first post-Oasis solo shows this month at the Royal Albert Hall.
