Glastonbury secures license until 2016

The application was granted today by Mendip District Council without a prior hearing or subsequent objections, eFestivals reports.
Organisers Michael and Emily Eavis also confirmed that the Somerset event will take its regular hiatus in 2012, partly in order to avoid scheduling conflicts with the London Olympics.
Festival-goers recently voted to keep flags at Glastonbury, after Download moved to ban them from the main site at this year's bash.
