The 'Way Love Goes' singer explained that he tries to make his duets believable.
He told the Daily Record: "I think that getting on stage is like acting, and if you are not in love with the person you are singing with, it's not believable. You have to fully believe what you are singing and pull out the character when you need to.
"When I perform with a lady, I'm in love with her and I should be."
However, Lemar added that his "love" only lasts for the duration of the song and claimed that he would never pursue a romance with a colleague.
"My love lasts for three minutes and 30 seconds," he said. "The thing with Angelina [Jolie] and Brad [Pitt] was that they didn't switch off."
