The boyband supported Lemar on tour last year and more recently re-recorded Dedicated album track 'What About Love?' with him for his upcoming greatest hits compilation.
Lemar told DS of the collaboration: "It was cool man! They're full of fun and they've got a real passion for what they do.
"It was really easy in the studio. We just got in and did the work. We had a few laughs along the way and that was it."
Of his failure to win Fame Academy in 2002, he added: "Coming third made me focus on putting out an even better record and proving to people that I could really sing.
"It's probably the same for JLS, though with the hype and presence of The X Factor, people are still going to know you if you finish second or third. But they've definitely dug deep and their work ethic is phenomenal."
