Conservative leader David Cameron has branded Lily Allen's music as "unsuitable" for his six-year-old daughter.

The politician admitted in an interview with Shortlist that he had argued with his daughter Nancy about playing the popstar's tracks during a car journey.

"I got one of those [iPod] connections for the car and my daughter is obsessed by Lily Allen, who I think it slightly unsuitable," he said. "So a bit of a fight takes place. 'I want to listen to Lily Allen'. 'No, it's The Jungle Book'. And in the tussle it broke [the connector]."

During the interview, Cameron also revealed that he was a fan of Florence and the Machine's debut LP Lungs.
