According to Miss Info, the signing of Shyne to Def Jam has ended the "bidding war" between multiple label bosses to land the rapper first, since being released from prison and deported to Belize in October.
The 31-year-old allegedly turned down offers from IGA chairman Jimmy Iovine and Aftermath Entertainment CEO Dr Dre, before returning to his previous label residence with L.A. Reid.
The Brooklyn-based MC has also reportedly been pursuing Kyambo 'HipHop' Joshua, who handles rappers Lil Wayne and Drake, for management.
Shyne was denied entrance into the UK earlier this month due to complications with travel documents.
