Janet 'to stand in for Jackson 5 tour'

Janet Jackson has agreed to replace Michael for a Jackson 5 world tour later this year, according to her brother Jermaine.

The singer has reportedly been persuaded to fill her brother's shoes for the global jaunt, which is currently still in the planning stage.

"We had a conference call and Janet has agreed to join us on tour," Jermaine said during promo for new reality TV show The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty.

Janet released greatest hits collection The Best in November.

The Jackson 5 are reportedly planning to release new material to coincide with their world tour.
