The free music festival will take place at the north Wales venue on May 22 and 23.
Pixie Lott is the first artist to be confirmed for the event, with additions to the lineup expected over the next few weeks.
The festival, which has a 20,000 per day capacity, will consist of the Main Stage, In New Music We Trust Stage, BBC Introducing Stage and Outdoor Stage.
Ticket details for the event are yet to be announced.
Radio 1's Big Weekend was held at at Swindon's Lydiard Park last year and included performances from Lily Allen, The Prodigy and Dizzee Rascal.
