The track 'I'm A Mess' was renamed 'She's A Mess', with the lyrics altered to: "Drinking bottle after bottle, she's such a mess in that dress I'm not impressed."
"The original line was 'I'm such a mess' but we were worried we were encouraging binge drinking so we decided to change it," Heidi Range told the Daily Star.
"There are some lyrics that are quite cheeky but people shouldn't take them seriously."
The group recently insisted that the new record is a "step up" from previous albums.
Sugababes release Sweet 7 on March 15.
