The 'Number One Enemy' singer revealed that she named the record after a song she wrote last year.
"The album basically represents my life over the past of couple years and where I am at the moment - growing up and experimenting," she told Digital Spy.
"I wrote the song 'Rush' at the end of last summer when a lot of my mates were going to uni and college and I was kind of doing my thing.
"It's about the opportunities that I've been given and it reflects the album concept as a whole."
The 16-year-old described the record as an "honest" reflection of who she is as an artist.
"I first started making music as a hobby and never really knew that I was going to be doing this, so it's quite honest and open," she said.
"My first single 'Number One Enemy' is catchy and lively, but there's also more dark and expressive stuff."
Daisy Dares You is expected to release second single 'Rosie' in May. Her album Rush follows in June.
