The Florence and the Machine singer shot to fame last year alongside the likes of Little Boots and La Roux with her triple platinum-selling debut LP Lungs. She admitted that she is happy to see women staking a greater claim in an otherwise largely male-dominated industry.
"I think it's a really exciting time for female musicians and there is a lot of support out there for them," the 22-year-old told ITN. "It was quite a masculine environment in indie world for ages.
"People were actually looking for something different - more feminine, moving away from guys with guitars. Now it's girls with keyboards."
