In an interview with the BBC, the singer said that the band's record label proposed they put out a greatest hits following the release of their fourth album.
"The label wanted to put out a greatest hits before this album came out, actually, and we said 'no'," said Goldfrapp.
She added that they were considering producing one following the release of their latest album.
Goldfrapp's fifth studio album Head First will be released on Mute Records on March 22.
