The veteran hip-hop act, whose last album The Mix-Up debuted in 2007 and won a Grammy, have had to postpone their new LP's release due to Yauch's cancer diagnosis.
He told Entertainment Weekly: "It was really disappointing to have to hold the record and postpone the tour, but doctor's orders.
"We may or may not [release Hot Sauce Committee Part I] depending on how my health is come September. We want to but we have to play it by ear."
