'Plastic Beach' faces competition from other new entries such as Boyzone's Brother, which takes second place. Amy MacDonald is number three with A Curious Thing.
In the singles chart, Tinie Tempah is still holding onto the top spot with 'Pass Out', which has continued to fend off competition from Rihanna's 'Rude Boy'.
