The 'My Baby Left Me' star, who sang two tracks, told DS that it was an "amazing experience" to feature on the same show as Annie Lennox and Corrine Bailey Rae.
Rox said: "It was bloody scary! I was very, very nervous. I remember getting the phone call from my label boss and I was so overwhelmed that I cried a little bit!
"In my heart I always knew it was going to happen, because I was going to make sure it happened, but I didn't think it would happen so early on. I loved it, though. I really, really loved it."
The London-based singer-songwriter has described her upcoming Memoirs as "definitely a soulful album".
"It's harder to define it in terms of genre, because it differs from song to song, but the thread that holds it all together is soul," she added.
