Emmett Malloy captured the two on their 2007 Canadian jaunt for upcoming documentary DVD Under Great White Northern Lights.
Speaking to BBC 6 Music, Malloy predicted that the pair will put an end to their hiatus since 2007's Icky Thump sometime in the near future.
"After this tour, we all needed a break but I just can't imagine that band not doing more records and doing more shows," he explained.
"They just probably needed a break like everybody does. I foresee them doing some shows together sooner than later."
Malloy went on to say that The White Stripes had been left "emotionally and physically exhausted" following their 2007 world tour.
