The singer's fourth record is produced by William Orbit, most notably known for his work on Madonna's Ray of Light.
Speaking about the album, Orbit said: "I was captivated by Katie's voice when I first heard her demos in October last year. She is one of the most complex and intriguing artists that I have ever worked with."
The album's first single is called 'The Flood', and is released May 17. The song was co-written by Melua herself and Guy Chambers, who has previously worked with Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue.
The House is released May 24.
