Detroit joined Fahey in the early days of the project in 1989, but the pair split in 1993. Fahey continued to use the Shakespears Sister name until 1996 and resurrected it for last year's Songs From The Red Room album.
When asked if she still sees Detroit, Fahey told Metro: "No."
Regarding her ex-bandmate's appearance on ITV reality talent show Popstar To Operastar, she added: "I saw a couple of episodes. She's weathering the years rather well."
Fahey was also a founding member of Bananarama, and asked if she would consider rejoining her first group, Fahey replied: "I did a one-off performance with them for the 20th anniversary.
"I came on stage for a rousing rendition of 'Venus'. I left in 1988 and moved on musically so, creatively, rejoining them wouldn't be a constructive move for me."
