Robbie Williams has reportedly visited Sarm Studios in Notting Hill to help record an updated version of England football anthem '3 Lions'.

According to The Sun, the former Take That star has teamed up with Lightning Seeds star Ian Broudie on the track.

"Ian's been working on the song for a couple of months and was at Sarm Studios when Robbie happened to be there doing work with Trevor Horn," said a source.

"Robbie bumped into Ian and they decided to team up. They were really pleased with the results."

A spokesperson for the singer added: "Robbie has contributed to the '3 Lions' track and, together with his involvement in the Soccer Aid celebrity soccer match in June, is happy to be involved."

'3 Lions', which was originally performed by comics Frank Skinner and David Baddiel, was a number one hit in 1996 and 1998. Earlier this year, Skinner ruled out re-releasing the track, joking that they "couldn't get any more blood out of that stone".
