The singer, who released her new album Ten last week, also said she would like to follow in the footsteps of Celtic songstress Enya.
"I think I have some Enya in me, some kind of new age side," she told Bang Showbiz.
"I think my next record will be different to this one and different to my first, because I'm always changing.
"I love pop music because it really brings people together and unites people and I really like that about it. I'm sure my next record will sound different, I'd love to write a country record one day.
Cilmi, 18, also admitted that she used to dress up as her music idols when she was younger.
"My roots are from Led Zeppelin. [They] are my favourite band, I love Robert Plant, and I used to dress up as Suzi Quatro when I was younger in leather pants and sing along to her records.
"I love glam rock, I love The Sweet and T-Rex. So maybe I could do a glam rock record one day."
