Paul Gascoigne has reportedly declined an invitation to take part in a remake of World Cup anthem 'Three Lions'.

The Sun claims that the former footballer turned down the offer last week.

"He didn't take long to make up his mind," a source said. "He was asked to do it and made his decision less than 48 hours later."

Trevor Horn is producing the new version of the song, while Robbie Williams will provide some of the vocals.

Meanwhile, David Baddiel recently revealed that he would like "English eccentrics" including Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen and Michael Caine to take part in the remake.
