The Britain's Got Talent judge explained that she enjoyed filming a special about the music when she was working on her show Fantasy Lives.
"I love country music and I got to meet Kenny Rogers and Nancy Griffiths," she told Now.
"I sang at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville where so many legends have performed as well as the Broken Spoke where Dolly Parton and Kenny have sung."
Holden added that she is now in talks with a major record label about releasing an LP.
"I love singing and I did it all in a Southern belle accent," she said. "Warner Brothers is now showing an interest in me making a country album."
The new series of Britain's Got Talent begins on April 17.
