Vickers's Snow Patrol song not on album

Diana Vickers has revealed that a track she penned with Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody did not make the final cut of her album.

Vickers, who releases her debut Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree on May 18, said that she enjoyed working with Lightbody but the song will not feature on the LP.

When asked if the track would be on the record, she told Radio: "No... not this one. It's an absolutely incredible song, but it's still to come yet."

She added: "I've never met him, but we have a lot of phone calls."

The 18-year-old also explained that she is still good friends with fellow 2008 X Factor contestants JLS and Ruth Lorenzo.

Vickers releases her debut single 'Once' on May 18.
