In a press release by Cash Money Records, the newcomer revealed that she is hoping that her unique vocal style will have longevity within the female-rap realm, reports SOHH.
The 25-year-old said: "I don't want to do anything that sounds like what any other female rapper has done. I want to start a new lane that one day, ten years from now, girls will say, 'I'm more of a Nicki Minaj type'."
Minaj recently admitted that she is "disappointed" that her plans to tour with Rihanna have been cancelled.
