Flaming Lips member hospitalised

Flaming Lips member Steven Drozd has been hospitalised, forcing the band to pull out of their appearance at this year's SunFest.

The band's publicist would not elaborate on Drozd's condition, but said he is "expected to make a full recovery."

It was also announced that the group have cancelled their gig at the Beale Street Music Festival in Tennessee.

The American rock band were due to play the festival dates to promote their 13th studio album, The Flaming Lips and Stardeath and White Dwarfs with Henry Rollins and Peaches Doing The Dark Side of the Moon, released last year.
