Statistics group Nielsen SoundScan began tracking digital sales of songs in July 2003, and have now compiled a list of the best-selling tracks to date.
'Feeling', which topped the UK charts and spent 14 weeks at number one in the US, has now sold 5,561,000 digital downloads, overtaking Flo Rida's 'Low', which has amassed 5,536,000 downloads.
The Peas also hold fourth place on the list, with 'Boom Boom Pow' being the fourth biggest-selling download in history. Lady GaGa is listed at third and fifth place with 'Just Dance' (5,364,000) and 'Poker Face' (5,131,000) respectively.
Coincidentally, all of the top five, excluding the 2008-released 'Low', were ranked as the top four singles on the year-end Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2009.
