MTV has confirmed that Aguilera will perform at the event on June 6, two days before she releases her new album Bionic in the US.
In a statement from MTV, the singer said: "MTV has always been a supporter of my music and my career and I am so excited to perform once again on the Movie Awards.
"My performance comes just days before the release of my album Bionic."
The MTV Movie Awards, now in its 19th year, will be hosted by comedian Aziz Ansari.
Bionic is released in the UK on June 7.
