Fans angry at Splendour ticket problems
Published Friday, May 7 2010, 03:11 BST | By Rebecca Davies

Tickets for the Australian event, which takes place on the weekend of July 30 this year, went on sale at 9am yesterday morning. However, the Moshtix website proceeded to freeze, crash and boot people off the online queue.
One fan wrote on the site: "There is no way this system is working!" while another ranted: "This is actually disgraceful. I am never buying from Moshtix again. I've been at the checkout for three hours now and been booted off eight times."
According to ABC, Splendour organisers later released a statement, reading: "Since going on sale at 9am this morning, Moshtix has been experiencing an unprecedented demand for event tickets.
"As with previous years it would appear there are a load more people trying to buy tickets than we have for sale. Be patient with Moshtix. They're doing a sterling job considering it is their first year managing this process."
Acts performing at the event this year include The Strokes, Mumford & Sons, Florence and the Machine, Scissor Sisters, Empire of the Sun, Wolfmother and Goldfrapp.
