The 'Starry Eyed' singer admitted that she believes the pair will be a good match, but wants to get to know Cole better before they write material together.
She told the Daily Star: "The tracks I’ll write for Cheryl will come to me when I meet her. I have a feeling we will be a good pairing.
"We absolutely need a night on the town together. That’s what I need to do to get to know her better."
Goulding is currently gearing up for her support slot on John Mayer's upcoming UK arena tour.
