Liam Gallagher has revealed that his new post-Oasis band will be called Beady Eye.

Gallagher's group, which will also feature Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock, posted a picture of themselves in the studio on the official Oasis website today.

The singer previously claimed that he would continue to call the group Oasis unless he could come up with a better title. "I'm not going to call myself something ridiculous just for the sake of it," he said.

The collective are currently working on their debut album with producer Steve Lillywhite and are expected to release their first material in October.
