Glee: The Music, Volume III follows in the footsteps of the stars' first and second LPs, which both reached the chart summit earlier in the year.
Elsewhere this week, Villagers drop to second place with Becoming A Jackal following the disc's short reign at number one, while Mumford & Sons' Sigh No More, Florence and the Machine's Lungs and Justin Bieber's My Worlds take the remaining positions in the top five.
Meanwhile, other new entries in the chart include Immersion from Australian rockers Pendulum at 15 and Katie Melua's The House at 18.
