Susan Boyle 'to sing for Pope'

Susan Boyle is reportedly performing for the Pope in September, following months of speculation.

The Britain's Got Talent runner up is said to be the final stages of negotiations to sing at the public mass in Scotland, which marks Pope Benedict XVI's first visit to Britain.

OMG Music quotes a spokesman for the Catholic Church saying: "Negotiations are still under way but we expect Susan Boyle to perform as part of the Papal Mass at Bellahouston Park."

Simon Cowell's brother Tony recently claimed that Boyle would "drop everything" to perform for the pontiff, admitting: "It would be a dream come true for her".

Around 100,000 worshippers are expected to attend the mass.
