BBC News reports that the pair attended the 'Reptilia' band's show at the 450-capacity Dingwalls in London.
One fan who paid £100 for a ticket told BBC 6 Music: "I would have paid a lot more for it. I've been listening to The Strokes since their first album and I've never had the opportunity to see them live."
Another who had sold a spare ticket for £200 on eBay added: "I go to a lot of gigs, I don't like ticket touting, but it was an opportunity I couldn't let go. I feel bad for doing it but I'm not going to say no to a hundred quid."
