The Vaselines are to release their first album in 20 years, it has been confirmed.
The Guardian reports that the indie duo are to follow up 1990's Dum-Dum with their second studio LP.
Sex With An X will be out on September 14, accompanying a ten-date UK tour. The Glaswegians have already released upcoming track 'I Hate The '80s' on their website.
Despite not receiving much mainstream attention during their three-year tenure from 1986, Nirvana's Kurt Cobain name-dropped the group as one of his favourites shortly before his suicide in 1994.
The Vaselines - led by Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee - reformed in 2006 and have played a handful of live gigs since. They revealed yesterday that they have prepared 14 songs for their new LP.
