Reports suggested that Rovner was responsible for purchasers of VIP tickets costing $1,000 (£672) being refused a meet-and-greet with the band as promised. He was also behind an "artist in residence" deal with NBC that forbid the band from promoting their most recent album The Circle on rival US networks.
However, Jon Bon Jovi told Celebrity Mound that the split with Rovner and Vector Management was actually due to the band "deciding to go with different directions".
"He is and will remain a close friend and someone who I will be very grateful to for his dedication,” he added.
A spokesperson for Vector Management said: "Jack and everyone at Vector are very proud of the work they did [with Bon Jovi] together over the last five years, including their first Grammy awards, first number one chart debuts globally, and even a number one on the country charts."
