The X Factor judge, who has so far scored nine top ten hits in her music career, is rumoured to be working on a new LP with dance duo Freemasons and producer Richard Stannard, who wrote Kylie Minogue's 2002 hit 'In Your Eyes'.
According to MTV, the 38-year-old will perform the record's first single during The X Factor live shows, following from Cheryl Cole's performance last year, where she unveiled her debut solo track 'Fight For This Love'.
The Australian star is due to give birth to her first child in July and will not be present during the audition stages of the show, but will return in time for the Judges' Houses.
Minogue's last official studio album was 2003's Neon Nights, which peaked at number eight on the UK album chart.
Since first appearing on X Factor in 2007 she has released various compilation albums, including 2007's Unleashed and last year's The 1995 Sessions, both of which included previously unreleased songs and demos.
