Festival-goers were reportedly left stunned by his brief time on the Pyramid Stage, reports the BBC.
Asked if he enjoyed his visit, he replied: "How could I not?"
The visit was the first by a member of the Royal Family to the festival.
Organiser Michael Eavis was pleased that Glastonbury had "finally got the royal seal of approval" as it celebrates its 40th anniversary.
Earlier today, Sir Ian McKellen revealed that he will not be appearing on stage with the Scissor Sisters at the festival.
