The singer, who died a year ago today, has sold 1.54 million singles and 2.77m albums, making a grand total of 4.31m record sales.
The total album sales puts Jackson marginally ahead of Michael Bublé, who has sold just over 2m albums in the same period.
On the anniversary of the popstar's death, the Official Charts Company has also compiled lists of the ten biggest-selling albums and singles by Jackson since his passing.
The biggest-selling single was 'Man In The Mirror', followed by 'Billie Jean', 'Thriller' and 'Smooth Criminal', all of which sold over 100,000 units in 12 months.
The best-selling album was The Essential, followed closely by the soundtrack to This Is It, which sold 500,000 copies.
OCC managing director Martin Talbot said: "The UK was one of Michael Jackson's favourite countries in the world and he had a massive fanbase here, as these figures clearly demonstrate.
"They came out and bought his music in massive numbers after his untimely death last summer - and will no doubt do so again, over the coming days and weeks, as they commemorate this month's anniversary."
It was recently reported that Jackson has earned over $1 billion (£670 million) since his death.
