The 'California Gurls' singer, who recently filled in as a guest judge for The X Factor, said that she was impressed by Marina's Radio 1 Live Lounge cover of 3OH!3's 'Starstruckk', on which she originally featured.
"I watched the stream of the performance online. I would love to collaborate with Marina," she told the Daily Star.
"I'm such a fan of new artists after going through that crazy hurricane of being one myself and, thankfully, surviving. New artists that will make it out of the eye of the storm I love and Marina is definitely one of them - she's very talented, very smart and hot."
It was recently reported that Perry's new single broke the US radio airplay record for the most spins over the course of a week.
