Scissor Sisters 'fear for live music'

Financial difficulties have forced the group to abandon a number of planned European festival dates this year.
"People are cancelling tours all over the place. It’s a very expensive thing to get even a well-known band on the road," frontman Jake Shears told the Daily Star.
Guitarist Del Marquis added: "We were supposed to be really busy this summer but festivals keep going under.
"Hultsfred in Sweden just went bankrupt, as did Norway’s Kristiansand. It’s scary because for a while it seemed live music was a safe buck for the industry, but not anymore."
The band have admitted that they are surprised of the Stateside success of their new album Night Work, which is currently battling for the top spot on the UK album chart.
"The album is doing well in America. Surprisingly we are Top 10," Shears said.
"The Brits couldn’t wait for us to come back and it seems the Americans couldn’t either, so we’ve never been happier."
