The former Fall Out Boy member announced the news on his personal blog, admitting his new band's music is a departure from his previous group's sound.
"If it's not for you then we understand," wrote Wentz. "[But] if you enjoy it, keep coming back."
Speaking on the band's launch, he said: "There will be no treasure hunt. No viral campaign. Just the opposite - next week things will appear on this site in a very controlled distribution."
The band's official website currently only has a clip of one of their new tracks, an electro-pop song called 'Club Called Heaven'.
Earlier this year Fall Out Boy announced they are on a hiatus which could become permanent.
