Beatz 'amazed' by Keys performance

Swiss Beatz has admitted that he was amazed by Alicia Keys' performance at the BET Awards.

Keys, who is engaged to and expecting a baby with the producer, shocked the audience at last week's awards by climbing on to her piano and performing a tribute to Prince.

MTV reports that Prince was stunned by the performance and looked over at Beatz numerous times.

Beatz said: "I didn't even see Prince looking at me at the awards, but when I went back and seen the replay of the show, I was like, 'Man, he must have been in my head, thinking what I'm thinking'. 'Cos I'm like, 'Wow, that's crazy! She's taking it there'.

"I thought it was amazing. I thought it was an honour and it was a blessing even to be in Prince's circumference of greatness... He is a great person and he's a great friend as well."

Keys fell during a gig at last weekend's Essence Music Festival, but has since insisted that she was not injured.
