Mumford's Ben Lovett and Ted Dwane spent two days at Konk studios recording the CD with The Kinks frontman.
Lovett told XFM: "He had mentioned that he'd like to include us. It was the first time we'd heard about it so we jumped on it and chased it up.
"We spent two days in the studio with Ray Davies. We're a little bit shell-shocked."
Dwane added: "We did a couple of songs. We did a medley. We did 'Days' and 'This Time Tomorrow'."
The pair also said that they have no plans to record a new album in 2010.
