The 'Don't Waste The Pretty' star - who released debut record Just Like You last year - was asked by Beatweek magazine if she has thought about what she might do on her follow-up.
"Maybe more personal stuff. More on what has actually happened in the past few years of my life," she said.
"All those songs that were written on this one were more overall, not so personal. So I think I'm gonna get more personal when I start writing."
The teenager went on to suggest that her passionate fanbase is because the audience can relate to her and she can relate to them: "A lot of my fans out there are about my age or younger, and they really point out the fact that I've gone through a lot of things that they've gone through themselves."
Iraheta is currently touring with fellow American Idol star Adam Lambert on his 'Glam Nation Tour', which is scheduled to play Cleveland, OH tomorrow night.
