Tom Morello covers M.I.A. for new EP

Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello has revealed details of his upcoming EP with band Street Sweeper Social Club, made up of Morello and rapper Boots Riley.

The Ghetto Blaster, which is the follow-up to the band's 2009 self-titled album, features a cover of M.I.A.'s song 'Paper Planes'.

Morello wrote on MySpace: "I said, 'Boots! We need a hot cover to slay the goth children!' 'Paper Planes' and two Justin Bieber songs, so we went with 'Paper Planes'."

The EP also contains a cover of LL Cool J's 'Mama Said Knock You Out'.

The record will be released in September, following a promotional tour of the US in August.
