An original Beatles track has reportedly been licenced for use in a film adaptation of Japanese novel Norwegian Wood.

The Fab Four's 1965 hit of the same name, from the album Rubber Soul, will be used in Oscar-nominated Vietnamese director Tran Anh Hung's upcoming project, reports Deadline.

Fortissimo Films is producing the venture based on Haruki Murakami's cult book.

Original Beatles songs have appeared in the recent films Ghost Town and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Filmmaker Robert Zemeckis plans to use several Beatles tracks for his upcoming Yellow Submarine remake.
